Ethical Leadership – What inspires sound judgment? Hosted by Amy Lyman, Director of Corporate Research,
Great Place to Work® Institute, Inc
.
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 11 AM PST

CEOs and corporate leaders have received a great deal of attention this past year, with a few receiving the lion’s share of scorn brought about by spectacular failures of leadership. Where are the strong ethical leaders we all seem to be yearning for? Many of them are leading great workplaces – those companies recognized on our lists of Best Companies for the past 25 years.  The leaders in Best Companies face the same challenges as their peers, yet these leaders are more likely to receive positive recognition for the roles they play in their companies and communities.  While positive leadership practices may not make the headlines, a commitment to integrity, honesty and shared success have contributed to the success of many organizations that enjoy strong reputations as good employers, with long-term stability.

Join this webinar to hear inspiring stories of leaders in great workplaces who have made the right choices, inspired the loyalty and commitment of others, and insured the long-term success of their organizations through their ethical leadership. Learn about the key factors that have influenced the choices they’ve made, and understand that ethical leadership is something everyone can practice.

Employer of Choice — The Value of Always Striving to be the Best

Interested in determining whether your organization measures up as a Best-Place-to-Work company and if so, whether you should apply? In 2008 leading speaker, author and consultant, Richard Federico, took us through the ins-and-outs of today’s leading and wrote WorldatWork publication, Battling to Be the Best — Why Companies Compete for Best-Place-to-Work Lists.

Watch this On-Demand webinar as he takes a deeper dive into the insights on the best-place-to-work lists and how things may change this year due to today’s troubled economy.  You will learn that effective communication and culture maintenance is vital as today’s companies’ work to climb this already slippery slope.

With the recent upheaval of so many prominent companies on the best-of-lists, he will discuss new opportunities for current and future best-place-to-work applicants. Federico will share continued discussions with 2009 list winners and how they are working to avoid employee mishandling and damaged reputation with the employees they have lost during layoffs, the survivors (those left behind) and new recruits. Plus he will talk about the ways you can strengthen and re-prioritize the ROIs you get when making best-place-to-work lists during this economic downturn.

He focuses on best-place lists available, the value of making a Best-Place-to-Work list, pitfalls to avoid, maintaining your positive reputation as a best place to work, how to reduce employee financial stress and maintain healthy and productive work environments, and more

Shifting Attitudes and Changing Roles in Today’s Employees — Understanding Its Impact on Total Rewards Webinar

You’ve heard it in the news.  You live it every day. Now find out what this really means to your organization and your Total Rewards program.

With an increasingly diverse workforce, no single reward element will be a value driver.  Job enrichment, flexibility and career development will be valued above job security and stability.  There will be increased importance of the value proposition for individual workers.  The changing workforce demands the HR professional to re-evaluate their employee value proposition and supporting Total Rewards programs.

Join us April 29 as respected author and President/co-founder of Families and Work Institute, Ellen Galinsky discusses the shifts occurring within the workforce and its implications to effectively attract, retain and motivate.  Revealing recent findings from the three-decade study, 2008 National Study of the Changing Workforce, Ellen will highlight viable solutions HR professionals can bring into their organization to design Total Rewards plans that best meet the needs of their business and emphasize their unique value proposition.

During this session, Galinsky will cover startling new findings from their 2008 study revealing such valuable data as Generation Y women (under 29 years old) are just as likely to want jobs greater responsibility as do Gen Y men and much more.

This is a time of change.  Don’t miss this highly informative Webinar to set your plans in motion to create a work environment that will be successful today and tomorrow.
