AWLP Online
Privacy Policy
At AWLP, we care
about online security as much as you do, so weve taken steps to ensure
your personal information is safe and that all your www.awlp.org transactions
are secure.
How We Collect Personal Information
Our Web site uses various forms and methods to make it convenient for you to
request information, order publications, register for seminars or events, chat,
post messages or for us to contact you. This requires that you give us contact
information such as your name, e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number
or credit card information.
Each time you visit our Web site, our Web server automatically recognizes your
domain name, not your e-mail address. We collect aggregate information on what
pages you access or visit and information volunteered by you, such as site registrations.
This information is used for:
Internal review
Improving the content
of our Web pages
Contacting you with information
about our organization, products and services.
The information collected
is discarded and never shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.
Cookies
AWLP utilizes cookies, pieces of information that a Web site
transfers to a users hard drive for record-keeping purposes. Cookies make
Web-surfing easier for you by saving your preferences while you are at our site.
Cookies enable our server to identify you as a AWLP member or nonmember,
and will eliminate the need for members to login each time they access our site.
We use cookies only to enhance your convenience in using our site, to improve
search functionality or to hold information that you would otherwise need to
re-key. We do not use cookies for any other purpose. The use of cookies is an
industry standard that you will find at most major Web sites.
You may decline to accept cookies sent by the site by selecting an option on
your browser to reject cookies; however, portions of the site, which require
registration, will not be accessible to you.
How We Keep Information Secure
AWLP uses industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring
and receiving member and nonmember data exchanged with our site. We have appropriate
security measures in place at our physical facilities to protect against the
loss, misuse, or alteration of information that we have collected from you at
our site.
AWLP protects you while you shop at www.awlp.org. AWLP
uses the industry standard in secure server software. All of your personal information,
including your credit card number, are encrypted before
it is sent across the Internet.
Links to Other Sites
The AWLP Web site contains links to other Web sites that are not owned
or controlled by AWLP. AWLP is not responsible for the privacy
practices or content of these other Web sites. You are advised to read the privacy
statements of any linked site. We do not partner with or have special relationships
with any ad server companies.
How We Share Information and Your Choices
We do not share AWLP member or nonmember e-mail addresses or sell them
to any outside parties for any purpose. AWLP utilizes e-mail addresses
for its own purposes of keeping members and customers informed about association
events and providing product/service/information announcements.
We offer you the opportunity to regulate the types of e-mail communications
you receive from us. AWLP members can make changes to their personal
preferences after logging onto the member-only Web site.
Membership Directory e-mail addresses are safeguarded. Each WorldatWork members e-mail address in the online directory is a blind address, thus concealing the e-mail address but still allowing e-mail messages to be sent. The directory message volume and the content of messages may be monitored to ensure proper usage.
If you supply us with your postal address online, you may receive periodic mailings
from AWLP with information on new products and services and upcoming
events. You may also receive periodic mailings from other reputable companies;
however, you can have your name put on our do-not-share list. If you do not
wish to receive other mailings, please let us know by sending us an e-mail to customerservice@awlp.org;
by calling our toll free telephone number, 800/874-9383 or 480/922-2007; or
by checking the appropriate box when making the request.
If you supply us with your telephone number online, you will only receive telephone
contact from AWLP. We do not share telephone numbers with other companies
for any purpose.
You can change your preferences
at any time. Go to My Profile (you must be logged in) and select e-mail preferences.
If you have any questions or comments, contact customerservice@awlp.org
or 800/874-9383
(toll-free) or 480/922-2007.
Using Our Bulletin Boards
and Online Surveys
When using AWLP Bulletin Boards, users are asked to review and abide
by the rules
and etiquette points.
All online survey data will be reported in aggregate. No individual company
data is ever released or identified. Unique survey identifiers (e.g., member
identification number) are kept confidential and will only be used by authorized
AWLP staff to get in contact with survey participants if necessary.

number, password or demographic information. Visitors have the ability to access
this information by contacting us at: customerservice@awlp.org
or calling our toll free telephone number, 800/874-9383

posting. By using our Web site, you signify that you agree to the AWLP
Online Privacy Statement. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not
