Alliance For Work-Life Progress Director To Be Keynote Speaker At National Work-Life Event In Singapore
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Alliance for Work-Life Progress® (AWLP), a membership organization committed to the development and advancement of the field of work-life effectiveness, today announced that its director, Kathie Lingle, has been invited to address an audience of more than 1,000 business leaders and human resources professionals at the first national Work-Life Harmony Week conference in Singapore, July 19, 2005 - July 22, 2005. The purpose of Work-Life Harmony Week is to showcase successful work-life practices of organizations in Singapore, as well as other countries, including the United States.
"AWLP is dedicated to global progress in the work-life field, and we're proud to be a part of this event. Singapore is doing some very innovative work and is making great strides in quantifying the results, from which we can all learn. The government is encouraging businesses throughout the country to implement effective work-life strategies, such as workplace flexibility, which they understand to be a key driver of employee recruitment, retention and engagement. Workplace flexibility and other total rewards strategies are proving to be universally relevant--essential for organizations that want to achieve competitive advantage," said Lingle.
On July 19, Lingle will present "Work-Life Means Business," which covers the business case for work-life effectiveness, supporting research and key factors that ensure successful work-life strategies. On July 20, Lingle will present a half-day seminar to 200 human resources professionals on "Workplace Flexibility: A Management Strategy for the New Millennium." She is also serving as a judge in the national Work-Life Scenario Competition, the first such event of its kind.
