WorldatWork Announces First Group of Scholarship Recipients

Washington, D.C. – WorldatWork today announced it has awarded certification scholarships to 10 deserving HR professionals. Scholars will receive a package that waives fees for WorldatWork e-learning certification preparation courses and exams as well as Premier Membership for 12 months. The scholarship awards are based on individual need and merit.

"I admire and respect WorldatWork for their generosity and consideration of their constituents during these economically challenging times,” said Lorie Roth of Wyoming, Minn. “This scholarship provides the opportunity to prepare for a career focused on compensation and benefits to the level of expertise and effectiveness I aspire to achieve.”

“The Global Remuneration Professional certification is absolutely necessary for both my professional and academic development,” said Ignacio Ros of Buenos Aires, Argentina. “The idea of a global remuneration strategy is new to my company; hence with a GRP certification, I will be able to leverage this concept with management.”

About the WorldatWork Scholarship Program
The scholarship aims to help HR practitioners obtain designations as Certified Compensation Professionals, Certified Benefits Professionals, Global Remuneration Professionals or Work-Life Certified Professionals.  Scholarships are awarded based on both need and merit. To be considered, applicants must have performed an HR practitioner role for at least two years. Scholarships are open to both WorldatWork members and non-members practicing HR anywhere in the world.
